On the money side, McKinsey reports $12.6 billion invested in 2025, roughly 6.3 times the previous year. The mix has shifted: capital markets and private funds now dominate, while the public-sector share fell from about a third in 2024 to around 3 percent in 2025. Looking further out, the firm estimates $1.3 to $2.7 trillion of economic value by 2035.
